How often do I need an eye exam?
To ensure sharp vision and healthy eyes, it is advisable to have regular annual eye examinations. Eyes are not only a window to the soul but they offer a glimpse into your overall health and can even reveal serious conditions/disease within the body.

What if I don't have insurance?
We want to ensure you are receiving the medical care you deserve! We are willing to see those who are not currently insured for an affordable self-paying fee. Please call our office to get scheduled today!


Do you provide pediatric eye care?
Yes! Dr. Gay is able to provide quality eye care for the WHOLE family. Annual eye exams should begin around age 4, prior to Kindergarten, unless there are noted parental concerns sooner.


I have an emergency concerning my vision or eye health. What should I do?
We are usually able to accommodate emergency situations the same day when Dr. Gay is in the office. Please call the office to be scheduled. If we aren't immediately available we may refer you to an available physician. When unable to reach our office please seek care at the nearest emergency room.


How long is my prescription valid for?
Both your glasses and contact lens prescription will have an annual expiration date. Our visual needs and anatomy are ever-changing. To ensure optimal vision, healthy eyes, and the best contact lens fit, an annual eye examination and fitting are required.
